2018 CCR Road Ride Routes and Tracks
Author Last Post
We'll be able to load these files for you during the rally; Steve has some morning hours posted on the rally program where he'll be available.

We've also printed small "maplets" of many of the routes that anyone can use, along with a decent map set/atlas (like the Hammond Atlas) to plan their own routes.

The Republic area has a plethora of paved and unpaved roads. The riding is fabulous! Many pavement riders bring their passport (unless you've an enhanced license) as Canada Rte 3, the Crows Nest Highway, is a great loop.
VERIFICATION of CCR Road Ride Routes and ADV Tracks posted on the WSBMWR website:

On July 14, I read on the Club FB page that Michael V. was having trouble getting a CCR .gpx file to load. I have been working with Steve Irby for a week making sure the CCR .gpx files that he uploaded to "Club Documents"/"GPS Files" are usable. I did a series of Verification tests to see that all routes and tracks were downloadable to BaseCamp on my PC, and transferrable to my device (a BMW Nav-V device by Garmin). I was successful in all cases, as noted below.

A. CCR ROAD-RIDE ROUTES/TRACKS (10 route collection):

1. All 10 routes were downloaded from Club Documents/GPS Files to BaseCamp on my PC.
2. All 10 routes displayed correctly on BaseCamp (as a group, and individually).
3. All 10 routes were successfully transferred to my Garmin BMW Nav-V device.
4. All 10 routes opened and displayed correctly on my Nav-V. Matched BaseCamp.

B. CCR ADVENTURE TRACKS (12 TRACK collection):

1. All 12 ADV Tracks were downloaded from Club Documents/GPS Files to BaseCamp on my PC.
2. All 12 ADV Tracks displayed correctly on BaseCamp (as a group, and individually).
3. All 12 ADV Tracks were successfully transferred to my Garmin BMW Nav-V device.
4. All 12 ADV Tracks opened and displayed correctly on my Nav-V. Matched BaseCamp.

I can't speak to getting these .gpx files from other sources, but have no reason to believe they would behave differently, because they are the same files.

Note: the "accuracy" of the posted routes and tracks is the responsibility of the originator, not the Club, and not me! Enjoy your rides!!
Steve Irby has compiled a nice set of Republic-area Road Ride routes from past CCRs and other sources, and has posted the collection of GPS RTE and TRK files in "Club Documents/GPS Files" for download before you go to the Rally. (He's done a set of Off-road routes too). Steve will be providing GPS downloads from his laptop at the CCR.

Attached below are IMAGES of the Road Ride routes so you can see the variety of routes offered. Attachment (A) repeats the East and West Loops we used in 2016 and 2017 for CCR Guided Rides. Attachment (B) gives you Steve's collection of 10 Republic Area Routes (including the 4 just mentioned). When either of these collections are downloaded to your GPS, the RTE and TRK files will be listed individually in your device. You can select whichever route/track you wish to ride. The last image shows the color code and distance of each route (from 143 to 230 miles)

2018 CCR Off-Road/Adventure routes have been discussed on the Club's Facebook page, and are covered in detail in the Rally Program. A dozen new 2018 Off-road/Adventure GPS files can also be found in "Club Documents/GPS Files".
